Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 31, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CutEngine ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CutEngine is a cloud-based video rendering API. The Service provides video rendering via REST API (Shotstack v1 compatible), asset hosting, template management, and batch rendering.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys. You must be at least 18 years old. One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

Free: 10 renders/month, non-commercial use only.

Pro ($29/mo): 500 renders/month, overage $0.05/render, 99% SLA.

Business ($99/mo): 2,000 renders/month, overage $0.04/render, 99.5% SLA, priority support.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to: use the Service for illegal purposes, upload infringing content, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the Service, exceed rate limits, share API keys, or generate deceptive deepfake content.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you render. We do not claim ownership of your content. The open-source rendering engine is licensed under MIT, separate from this cloud service.

7. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly in USD. Payment is processed through PayPal. Prices may change with 30 days notice.

9. Service Period

Paid subscriptions are provided on a monthly basis. Service begins immediately upon payment and continues for one calendar month. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

10. Service Availability

We aim to maintain 99% uptime for paid plans. Scheduled maintenance will be announced 24 hours in advance.

11. Data and Privacy

See our Privacy Policy. Rendered content is stored for 24 hours, then automatically deleted.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutEngine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for Terms violations. Data is deleted within 30 days of termination.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms with at least 30 days notice for material changes.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul.
